Cancellation policy

This cancellation policy governs the use of the hob-hob platform. By using our platform, you agree to the terms below. Hob-hob serves only as an intermediary for connecting explorers and creators, and all cancellations or related disputes must be managed as outlined below.
1. General Information
1.1 Hob-hob provides an online platform to connect explorers with independent creators offering photography experiences (“experiences”). Hob-hob does not provide experiences itself nor does it participate in the agreements between explorers and creators.
1.2 Cancellations of booked experiences are governed by a standardized policy set by hob-hob (detailed below). No additional cancellation policies may be imposed by creators to ensure consistency and simplicity for all users.
1.3 Hob-hob is not a party to the contract between the explorer and creator and is not liable for any cancellations, missed experiences, or disputes arising from these interactions. Hob-hob’s role is limited to providing the platform and facilitating secure payment processing through an escrow system.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellations by Explorers:
• More than 24 Hours: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled experience will not incur any charges, and the full amount will be refunded to the explorer.
• Less than 24 Hours: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled experience will be fully charged to the explorer, and no refund will be issued.
2.2 Cancellations by Creators:
• If a creator cancels an experience, the explorer will be notified immediately and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
• Creators are encouraged to provide alternative dates or rescheduling options whenever possible.
2.3 No Liability for Cancellations:
Hob-hob is not liable for any inconvenience, financial loss, or other damages resulting from cancellations. Hob-hob’s involvement is limited to enforcing the standardized 24-hour cancellation policy and processing refunds as applicable.
3. Payments and Refunds
3.1 Escrow System:
• Payments for experiences are securely held by hob-hob until the experience is completed.
• After the experience concludes, and barring any disputes, the payment will be released to the creator within a specified time frame.
3.2 Refund Process:
• Refunds are limited to cancellations made in accordance with hob-hob’s 24-hour policy. No exceptions or additional cancellation policies set by creators will be honored.
• Hob-hob processes refunds automatically based on the 24-hour policy. Disputes over cancellations or no-shows are outside hob-hob’s responsibility and must be resolved directly between the explorer and the creator.
4. Rescheduling
4.1 Mutual Agreement:
Rescheduling an experience is permitted if both the creator and explorer agree. Communication and arrangements for rescheduling must be handled directly through the hob-hob platform or other preferred communication methods.
4.2 Hob-hob Involvement:
Hob-hob does not manage rescheduling requests. All arrangements must be handled between the creator and the explorer through the messaging feature on the hob-hob platform or other preferred means of communication.
5. No-Shows
5.1 Explorer No-Show:
• If an explorer fails to attend a booked experience without prior notice, the experience will be fully charged to the explorer, and no refund will be provided.
5.2 Creator No-Show:
If a creator fails to attend or conduct the scheduled experience:
• The explorer is eligible for a full refund.
• Explorer Action Required: To claim a refund, the explorer must notify hob-hob within 48 hours of the missed experience by contacting hello@hob-hob.com or through the platform’s support system.
• Refund Process: Once hob-hob verifies the no-show with the creator, the payment held in escrow will be refunded in full to the explorer.
• If a pattern of no-shows by a creator is identified, hob-hob reserves the right to suspend or terminate their account.
6. Limitations of Liability
6.1 Platform Role:
Hob-hob acts solely as an intermediary platform to connect explorers and creators and to process payments securely. Hob-hob is not responsible for:
• The quality, safety, or legality of the experiences.
• The actions or omissions of either explorers or creators.
• Any disputes, cancellations, or no-shows that arise between explorers and creators.
6.2 No Guarantee:
Hob-hob does not guarantee the availability, performance, or success of any experience. All arrangements are made at the discretion of the explorer and creator.
6.3 Platform Downtime:
Hob-hob shall not be liable for missed experiences or other issues arising from technical problems, platform downtime, or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Amendments to Cancellation Policy
7.1 Hob-hob reserves the right to amend or update this cancellation policy at any time to reflect changes in operations or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on the hob-hob platform, and users will be notified of any changes at least 14 days prior to the effective date.
